ISO, ANSI and DIN comparison of hexagon socket head cap screws
This table contains information on ISO, ANSI and DIN comparison of hexagon
socket head cap screws.
values in mm
THREAD LENGTH:
Identical.
THREAD TOLERANCE:
DIN and ISO specify a thread tolerance of 6g before plating; 6h after plating. For class 12.9, however, a thread tolerance of 5g 6g before plating and 5h 6h after plating is required. ANSI stipulates a thread tolerance of 4g 6g before plating and 4h 6h after plating, regardless of material and strength class. All the other geometric functions are the same and are functionally interchangeable.
MATERIAL:
ISO and DIN recognize 8.8 and 12.9. ANSI admits 12.9 only.
NOTE:
The deviations in thread tolerance as mentioned
above are essentially valid for all socket products.
